"Gettin' Ready to Scratch What Itches"
I took a series of photographs of this antelope as he was getting ready to scratch his little rear. He's about to curl up around himself to scratch an itch but he's making sure there are no predators around. He wants to live through this itching process. I love watching the wildlife and seeing the common everyday things that make up their lives.
Summertime brings them the lush grass of the prairie, but with it comes the horrible horde of insects that plague their every waking moment. I sometimes think they must prefer the harshness of winter to the awful bugs. Maybe they don't think about it, but just endure whatever comes their way?
