There are some mules on along the Rocky Mountain Front that we love.  When we stop to visit, they usually entertain us.  This time, when we saw them, I decided to entertain them, so I was telling them my jokes...This guy said I was crackin' him up!

Donkey ears photos, which one?

The thing you love about a donkey is their ears!

I took photos of our Daisy's ears and got two I really liked. Now the problem is, I can't decide which one I like best. They are very similar.

The bottom photo gives you a hint of where her eye is, even though you don't see the eye. It also shows both of her ears.

But there's some reason, I seem to like the top photo better.

I wanted my photo of Daisy's ears to capture her softness, her fuzziness, her cute personality and the wonderful expression of her ears. The background color worked perfectly with what I wanted to convey..the colors matched the colors of Daisy, so they help to create a soft harmonious look.

In the top photo the one ear is definitely the center of interest. I think that's why I like it best.

Laughin' Long Ear

Every animal artist has to try some of these, and they're kind of corny. But on the other hand, they're always fun! Because mules do twist their faces around like this when they're yawning, or laughing as the case may be.

I enjoyed trying to capture all the wrinkles and nuances around this mules mouth and his teeth make me smile.

Phee-ee-ew!

I've laughed ever since I took this photo yesterday! I think it's so funny.

We were driving around the country on a photo shoot for Memorial Day weekend when we saw this herd of horses and mules near the Sun Canyon Lodge, just west of Augusta, Mt. I've never run across a more entertaining herd of animals as the weather was chilly, and they were playing. I took hundreds of photos and in the batch, was this one. It took the cake!
