Believe it or not, I took this photo, this morning, on my very own lawn!
So what is it? And how did I do it?
Here are some clues:
This formation happened on it's own, during the night.
It surprised me!
It surprised Robert!
I think it surprised Daisy and Pedro too!
It's a common substance.
It's not a mushroom or fungi.
That's enough clues, now you tell me, what is it? Good Luck! First one to guess correctly wins a free aceo card original. Let me know by leaving a comment here on this post.

oh how fun...my guess, based on your clues is frost or snow, you did it using a macro lens or just taking a really close shot and then turning it into a negative of itself! I guessed that part because I love doing that to my photos lol
ReplyDeleteHi Cathi,
ReplyDeleteIt's not frost, sorry! But the negative part is correct...so is the macro lens!
The only thing I can think of is hailstones.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda,
ReplyDeleteIt's not hailstones either...
Ok! I'm thinking some kind of.."pooh"! not Winnies' but horse or donkey polished by wind and dust and zoomed in by Donna?
ReplyDeleteNo pooh! :)But I do have some of those. ha
ReplyDeleteHi Donna,
ReplyDeleteNow that's one funny game!
These things would have been the same size and shape I would have said some kind of insect eggs... But here, dunno, maybe grains of sand or small rocks brought by the wind?
Great blog by the way, I really enjoyed it!
Ok, here's the answer, we turned the sprinkler on the lawn and let it run all night. It froze in the night, and each stream of the sprinkler made one of these little blobs. Some of you were awfully close! But we were looking for the word "ice". And thinking maybe someone would guess how it happened.
ReplyDeleteWhen I lived on the ranch, we'd go out in the mornings to change sprinkler pipes in the spring, and have to carry pipes through stuff like this.
It's much more fun taking photos of it now. :)
Look for the next mystery photo, coming soon, or as soon as I can find one!
Donna
Morgane, glad you enjoyed the blog. I like that guess, insect eggs, ha.
